Treatment In The Coronary Heart Diseases |
|
1. Medication: If minor stenosis is observed in the vessels through diagnostic methods, the drug therapy consists of blood pressure regulators, anticoagulants and trombolytics. 2. Balloon and stent: When there is a serious stenosis in the vessels or the stenosis is in the dangerous areas the treatment should be carried out mechanically.
 • Balon Angioplasty: Is a procedure which consists removal or dilatation of the obstructions and restenosis in the vessels that have been observed in the angiography with PTCA balloon catheter in order to supply regular blood flow. In a baloon procedure,a guided wire is pushed into the heart vessels entering to the inguinal artery. With that wire a deflated balloon is placed on the stenotic lesion. Then the balon is inflated with a device being commanded from outside and the existing plaques are broken down. • Stents:
are small “cage” shaped, metal tubes which are designed to be placed in the vessel. The stenosis formation in the vessels as a result of atherosclerosis causes reduction or ırregularity in the blood flow.By the way of placement of the stents into the stenotic lesion,ıt is hoped to regulate the blood flow.
 • Surgery: Coronary artery bypass surgery uses blood vessels to go around or “bypass” clogged coronary arteries so blood can flow through the new vessels to the heart muscle the way it should.
